About Us
Hi, we’re Sam & Kim Ko! We are two Board Certified physicians who love learning (we haven’t met a course or workshop we haven’t liked!), parents of dogs & humans, who have gone from traditional clinicians to entrepreneurs opening our own ketamine infusion clinic in 2018.
Ever since we embarked on the journey of becoming doctors, we had a desire to help people through our practice or by connecting with people. But probably like YOU we became burnt out.
Maybe you can relate to one of the below reasons:
Tired of being told what to do by administrators
Tired of trading our time for making money for a large organization
Lost the fun and joy of taking care of patients
Sick of meetings and slow moving committees
What were we to do? We invested so much time into becoming doctors!
The next adjacent possible:
Luckily the stars aligned, when Sam’s love of transforming people’s lives (he’s trained in the CTI Co-active Coaching method) and emergency medicine training led him to be a pioneer in providing ketamine infusions. After trying to partner up with other doctors at the hospital, he decided to give it a go independently. But was he ready?
All the while, Kim wanted more than just doing diabetic eye exams, and repairing ruptured globes as an ophthalmologist. She dove into the world of social media, learning everything she could about ‘the algorithm’, content marketing, and even launching her own YouTube channel. Following her interests, she wasn’t sure what she was going to do with this developing skill.
Enter ketamine:
Ready to open up the ketamine infusion on his own, Sam and Kim realized that they could create this clinic together, figuring out each step along the way. Collaborating with each other, luckily enjoying doing what the other didn’t like or wasn’t skilled at!
Creating a clinic from idea to an actual physical clinic with a strong web presence, pulled us out of the burn out because we found that owning your own clinical business:
