Why You Should Market Your Ketamine Clinic On Social Media
In a previous blog we talked about the reasons Why You Shouldn't Market Your Ketamine Clinic On Social Media. As promised, in this blog we are going to talk about why you should. Today’s world is all about social media, and since your ketamine clinic is essentially like its own person (and will be your “baby” when you first start out), you should also put your business out there IF you have the right reasons.
So in this blog we are going to talk about four very good reasons you should market your clinic on social media.
Reason #1: Your Potential Patients Are Probably On Social Media
Social media is a key way to get in front of your potential patients. We are still in the infancy of the ketamine infusion industry, which means that for many of you, your first patients aren’t going to be referred from your colleagues but from patients finding you on their own. So be where your potential patients will find you. Think about it, when was the last time you chose to get a particular service from a new business based on a billboard or TV commercial? Or if you did see something on TV, we bet you probably Googled them or checked to see if they had an Instagram account.
Reason #2: Social Media Builds Brand Awareness And Credibility
We live in the information age. Your potential patients are pretty tech savvy, so they will be doing their research. They will want to get to know you, what you’re all about, and whether they should come to you. Social media is a powerful way for your potential patients to get to know you and more importantly better know your brand. When they know your values, motivations, and story, this gives them more reason or evidence of why they should choose your ketamine clinic over another one. Having clear and consistent branding also gives your ketamine clinic credibility on a social level. When they see you have a consistent presence on various social media platforms, that puts you on par with big name brands which also have a consistent presence on social media. And by extension, this signals that you are trustworthy too!
Reason #3: Social Media Marketing Is Factored Into Your Budget
As we mentioned in earlier, you need to be where your patients are. That being said, marketing on social media can be very expensive. Whether it is running ads or creating content for social media or hiring someone to do this all, it adds up and costs a pretty penny. BUT it is a worthy expense if you have clear goals. And remember, your goal is to get more patients, not be the most popular on social media! One of the things to remember is if you are committed to having a social media presence, you need to factor this into your runway and your budgeting. If you do, then definitely go for it!
Reason #4: You Personally Enjoy Being On Social Media
Have you noticed that the things you enjoy doing are easy for you or you are more willing to put more of your resources towards it? The same can be said about social media. When you are starting out, you’re going to be wearing so many hats. You got the business end plus the clinical end of your ketamine clinic to work on. So if you enjoy being on social media, it won’t be much more of an effort to put in that extra effort to work on your business’ social media presence. Plus social media isn’t just about posting, it’s also about being social. Meaning you’ll get comments and questions, and you should answer and respond to these inquiries. Having a good social media presence requires you to be social and interact!
Final Thoughts: Social Media Is Great, But Remember Your Goals
Today’s patients are informed and they require more information about you and your brand before they even meet you. Social media is a tool which you can use to inform and educate. It is a valuable tool that you can wield as you start your ketamine infusion clinic. But as a word of caution, remember your goals and intention of using social media. In other words, remember you are using social media to help reach out to potential patients informing them regarding ketamine and letting them get to know you better. You are informing and educating them. You are not on social media to become an influencer (unless you actually are…) or to get the most “likes” or engagement.
