Podcasts to Listen To When Starting Your Ketamine Clinic

Opening a ketamine infusion clinic can be lonely. Most physicians don’t decide to open a private practice, and many more don’t consider a ketamine infusion clinic to be a good idea! It’s a lonely road, especially if you don’t have peers who are entrepreneurial or business savvy.

You're a risk taker, boss-minded, non-employee thinker. And when you start out, sometimes you need to have similar voices around you. As Jim Rohn said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”

If you don’t have those voices in real life, fear not because you can always rely on podcasts. The hosts and those they interview can become part of that support village you need when starting out!

In this blog we are going over a few podcasts to inspire you and keep you motivated as you open your ketamine clinic!

The Tim Ferriss Show

We have been following Tim Ferriss way before he started his podcast, and we’ve been so excited to see how he has evolved overtime. His podcast is one of the podcasts that inspires us to start one! Whether you want to learn about psychedelics, body hacking, or what inspires famous writers, it's all there. Here in the podcast you’ll learn not only about how successful business people made it, but all skills, habits, and tips on how to be your best self physically and mentally.

Here are a few of our favorite episodes:

Diana Chapman

She co-founded the Conscious Leadership Group and co-authored the book The 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership. There are so many great tips and insights from this podcast interview. We especially loved learning about the “Whole Body Yes”, which has been especially important when getting out of our head when making decisions.

Sir James Dyson

This interview with the inventor of the Dyson vacuum is so inspiring and encouraging. He made something so popular, but when he started out he was ridiculed and laughed at. But he persevered because he had a vision. Sometimes people don't understand why you quit a traditional doctor job to do something different.  It's encouraging to see that others have done the unusual and succeeded.

Andrew Huberman, PhD

You can’t be at your best, especially starting a ketamine clinic if you are not sleeping well. Do yourself a favor and listen to this episode. We have made major changes in what we do and what supplements we take to support optimal sleep, so we can be our best selves as doctors and entrepreneurs!

How I Built This with Guy Raz

When we question what we are doing, like both quitting stable jobs in a large hospital system with amazing benefits, we find an episode of How I Built This to listen to. There are struggles when going on your own path and starting your own private practice. Listening to the stories of entrepreneurs we admire, reminds us that although we are on a challenging path, it reminds us that we are not alone. Plus to continue to preserve and have faith!

Here are a few episodes we’ve enjoyed!

Jay Shetty

If you were ever worried about taking the long road to doing what you love or that you are too late or too old to do something new, this is the podcast episode for you. Jay Shetty is an inspiring wellness coach but he had a long road before he got there, starting out first as a monk! It's never too late to start, especially when you follow the signs from the universe and follow what you love!

Rick Steves

This interview with Rick Steves, the  popular American travel show host, is a reminder to always create value and focus on creating a product or service that you would want or be proud of! Rick is so thoughtful about the travel videos/shows he makes studying up on what is important plus he takes care of his employees. He is truly an inspiring soft spoken creator and business person.

Airbnb: Joe Gebbia

Ketamine infusions for many at this time are really out there. A lot of people don’t believe it is a smart, or wise choice. But people back then also thought the same thing about letting total strangers rent a room in their house. Listening to the story of how Joe Gebbia built Airbnb into what it is today is fascinating and encouraging!

Gary Vaynerchuk smiling and wearing a black shirt

The GaryVee Audio Experience

Listen to Gary and get pumped up, gain a new perspective, or hear the cold hard truth. Sometimes you just need to get a good kick in the seat of the pants to work through the loads of paperwork or a new perspective about working hard for yourself. There is so much gold in each episode, whether it's about learning about how to do better marketing, following your dreams, or not listening to haters.

Online Marketing Made Easy With Amy Porterfield

As ketamine clinic owners, we’re not just doctors or business owners, but we become marketers as well! Marketing didn’t come second nature to us as physicians, so we took the effort to learn as much about it as we could. We were a bit intimidated at first until we came across this podcast. We learned a lot of valuable lessons such as the power of telling stories, becoming more confident in marketing the business, and increasing our social media presence.
